Well I have been feeling very crappy since Saturday night. Thinking ahhhh, it's just a head cold and I would get over it. Well as a few days have gone by I have gotten to feeling worse and worse. Especially at night when I try to go to sleep, it feels as if someone lays a brick on my chest and I can't go to sleep because I cannot breathe.
Well this morning I went to the doctor hoping he would say it was no big deal, but unfortunately with the way I feel I knew that would not be the case.
The diagnosis BRONCHITIS, and a massive ear infection in my right ear......YUCK. I have never had bronchitis before and now know why I feel so yucky.
So.....in this I have had a self awakening......My health is important, not only to me, but to those around me. I was also diagnosed with Hypertension aka high blood pressure earlier this year. I have since tried 3 different medications for that problem, and had side affects with all three, my thinking, I feel better not taking it. Then my mom says its only cause your used to feeling this way. She's right, I need to be more proactive with it, so I have an appointment with my doctor again in 2 weeks to hopefully find a medication that will help.
I know medication is not the fix. I know that I have always been a heavy girl my entire life, even before kids, back in high school. The solution is that I need to reevaluate my diet and exercise regimen. Diet wise, I know where I go wrong, I have never been a breakfast eater, and that is the most important meal of the day, it's what jump starts you in the morning. Then I am a grazer and tend to snack all day long between lunch and dinner.......As far as exercise routines....I don't have one. I am pretty active throughout the day at work, but become lazy at home at the end of the day. I mean who in the heck wants to exercise after a long day? So I am going to try (when I kick this crud I have) walking in the morning before I have to go to work, what's an extra 20 Min's in the morning, I mean there are days I spend more time on my hair, when in all reality I need to be spending that time on my health.
So I am going to to become more active for myself. Walks, better eating habits, etc, we all know diets are difficult and usually short lived, that's why I am calling this a LIFE CHANGE and not a diet, I need to create new habits to replace old ones.
We will see what happens.
