Our last night

We finished up our last night going out to dinner with our friends from Redando Beach. We also invited my brother, his wife, and their daughter along.
We went to a local mom and pop Mexican food place that was recommended by out motel. They had great food and great drinks and it was a great closer to a wonderful vacation.
I want to share a few of the pics we got of the kiddos that night.

Day's 2, 3 and 4.

Our second, third and fourth day was spent in Disneyland and California Adventures. Each park offering their own style. We spent the first 2 days in Disneyland. You are greeted by a sign into Disneyland saying "HERE YOU LEAVE TODAY AND ENTER THE WORLD OF YESTERDAY, TOMORROW, AND FANTASY." Disneyland has a whole lot to offer and you almost need 3 days in the park to see it all, but we fit most of it into 2 long days. In Disneyland they have different LANDS. Tomorrowland which is home to attractions such as Honey I shrunk the audience and Space Mountain.....Then they have New Orleans Square which is my favorite and it is home to my favorite rides as well, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion, next is Frontierland which is home Big Thunder Mountain They also have Critter Country where Splash Mountain is located. They also have a lot of other attractions as well, but those are just a few of them.

Our third day we spent in in California Adventure which in it's self is a totally different experience, defiantly a California experience, they have big roller coasters, The Tower of Terror, all sorts of shows. Here you meet a lot of the NEWER characters from Monsters Inc, Playhouse Disney etc. Our fav's here were the SOARIN' OVER CALIFORNIA attraction and THE TOWER OF TERROR, which was Nicholas's favorite ride. 1 day was just enough to see all the attractions in this park, if you don't want to over do it though 2 would be great as well, but we did it in one.

Spring break....day one.

We have arrived safe and sound in California. Today was day one of our adventures. As you know we came here as a family. Today was set aside to recoup a bit after the long drive here. But not us. We had planned on going to the San Diego Zoo today, but when we woke up this morning it was POURING CATS AND DOGS. We met up with my friend Krissy, her hubby Skye and there daughter. We all decided instead of driving to San Diego and taking our chances, we headed to Long Beach where the Aquarium of the Pacific was located. It was awesome.

We saw all sorts of things at the aquarium, lots of Nemo and Dory fishes, sting rays, live corral exhibits, sharks, turtles, lots of Jelly fish and much much more.

After our great aquarium visit we set out to find some Ice Cream for the kiddos. We walked the pier in Long Beach and along the way Skye introduced Rick to the Yard House. Known for it's 3 ft tall glass of pretty much any tap drink you want. The tap was the biggest I had ever seen and I've been to Germany. They serve all their beers from tap, and the menu offered anything any beer drinker could think of..... they even offered beer floats, yes beer and ice cream together.......I'm not sure of the combo, but someone else may like it. They unfortunately stopped selling the yard glasses due to the fact that people would tend to have to much fun with the glasses and have sword fight with them, so they only sell a half of a yard now. Which still equals out to be about 3 pints of beer at once. We noticed outside the Yard House a lot of grand stands set up. Skye explained to us that they are host to the Grand Prix every year, hence the grand stands, this street race closes down the down town part of Long Beach, they host the Grand Prix every April so preparations were already under way. After the kids Krissy and I found our ice cream, and Skye and Rick enjoyed their beer we drove over to see the Queen Mary, which apparently is a hotel now, and they do ghost tours, but both to spendy so we enjoyed this massive boat from the outside.
