Poinsettia Bowl

So yesterday the BRONCOS played TCU at the Poinsettia Bowl down in warm sunny San Diego. It was a good game but unfortunately our boys in blue lost by 1 point. 17-16. Maybe the t shirts I made for Alan, my dad, and the kids jinked the game.

With all said and done though the BRONCOS did go UNDEFEATED for the season, not so shabby.

The Winner

At the half BSU was up 24-6. It was a close win, the Ducks defiantly came back in the second half but in the end BSU won 37-32.
This was a game I had predicted BSU loosing, but largely due to the Ducks having so many QB problems, it worked out to our boys advantage.

Today's Game Should.......

Should be very interesting. Today our boys in Blue take on a Pac 10/BCS team the Oregon Ducks. Funny thing here is that my husband's parents are huge Duck fans, and me, well raised to become a BRONCO fan, and also a student of BSU, so I can say I am a Bronco as well.
The boys will be playing in Oregon at Autzen Stadium. This has been a game in the making for several years.
So today to have a little fun, I am going to compare mascots. I am all about BSU, but
I must say though OREGON has quit the mascot DONALD DUCK. I believe they are the only College ball team to have a Disney Character as a Mascot. That's pretty cool, if I do say so myself.
They may have a really cool Disney Mascot. When all we have is Buster Bronco. He's not much to talk about. But what we do have that NO ONE else in the world has....SMURF TURF. Yes, I said it, SMURF TURF. Boise State is the only team in the world with BLUE turf on their football field.

FOOTBALL FEVER

Well today was the start of football for our college team. What team might you ask. Well the Boise State Broncos of course.
So tonight BSU's season opened at home playing Idaho State University. THE WINNER? Boise State wins 49-7.
The Bronco's started out a little slow, but quickly stepping up the pace. The ISU Bengals even tried using our famous STATUE OF LIBERTY PLAY, and the crowd quickly booed at the thought of them even trying it.
The Bronco's had a few hiccups, but those hiccups aside they played a good game, defiantly have a few kinks to work out but all in all they are looking pretty good.
So on to the next game which will be on Sept 13th at home against Bowling Green. Cannot wait to see them go 2-0.
