Busy Busy!!

This has been a super busy last week and weekend. As Rick prepares to leave, we have had company here since Wednesday, different people. Wed and Thursday Rick's Parents who are from Kentucky flew in to visit Rick before Rick's deployment to Iraq. It was a nice quick visit. They flew in on Wed afternoon and met Rick at the War Hawk Air Museum, it is a great Museum full of WWII war memorabilia. He spent Wed with them for some alone time. After wards they came out and had dinner, and enjoyed time with the kiddos watching them ride bikes. Thursday we spent a fun filled day at the Discovery Center, followed by going to watch the movie UP, then pizza at Flying Pie Pizzeria. Rick's parents flew home early Friday morning and made it home safe and sound.

Below: Nicholas just loved to pop all the bubbles.

Friday morning my BFF arrived with her daughter, her brother, his wife and their son. They were here taking care of some very important family business. It was nice to have her here. Before she left she reminded me how to cast on for knitting. I crochet, but knitting is totally different, I think with some practice, knitting will be a new fun hobby to take on or at least attempt.

Friday night Katelynn and I enjoyed the Jonas Brothers in Concert. She absolutely loved it. This was Katelynn's first concert. It reminded me of my first concert which was the New Kids on the Block. I was close to Katelynn's age when I went to my first concert.

This was my favorite pic I took of Katelynn before the concert. This is Kevin, Joe, and Nick's tour bus......it was great, they had signs plastered on it saying "THIS BUS LOVES SHARPIES"......it was covered with tons of names, phone numbers from little girls, appreciations for Nick and the awareness he brings to juvenile Diabetes, undying love for whom ever signed the bus for there favorite Jo Bro. A giant rolling autograph book. Katelynn and I only had a purple sharpie so it would not show on the black bus...so where did she sign? The bus while it was parked also had white tire coves, where Katelynn expressed her love for her favorite Nick Jonas....what did she write? "Katelynn loves Nick. It was fun. I have to tell you while waiting out side, Nick ended up outside on the outdoor arena grounds, where he got in a few rounds of baseball with some of his crew before the game. The girls went NUTS............including Katelynn where she got so excited she started crying. Reminds me of the Beatles craze, when you see all the old videos where all the girls are screaming and hollering. We even had a girl next to us in line faint from the excitement.

After we proceeded inside the Idaho center to find our seats, Katelynn was dying....we waiting 45 Min's before the concert started. We had wonderful seats. The opener for the concert was Jordan Sparks, a past runner up of of American Idol. She was wonderful. Then A new Boy band 'HONOR SOCIETY' was scheduled to perform, but did not show due to being stuck somewhere from what we gathered.

I took over 200 pics. I hope to be sharing a slide show of the concert really soon.

Fun blog. I especially enjoyed the concert report, as I have been wondering about it. Maybe I can put a concert picture on Katelynn's web page. We sure enjoyed our quick visit with y'all.
