All eyes on Idaho.

So. Idaho is the proud host of the Special Olympics World Winter games. The opening ceremonies at the Idaho Center in Nampa were wonderful. We are hosting 95 delegations from all over the world. Some of the events include Alpine Skiing, Snow Shoeing, Floor Hockey, and Figure Skating to name a few. What I have learned........A lot of the teams have never seen snow. Maria Shriver's mom started the Special Olympics. That most host States get 4 to 5 years to plan an event like this and we have only had 2 1/2 years to pull it off. It's amazing to see all these Special people come together to celebrate good sportsmanship those w/ and w/o disabilities coming together for such a wonderful cause.
Here are some of the pics from the Opening Ceremonies. These are from our local newspaper www.Idahostatesman.com

Some of the many stars, and famous athletes who were here for the Opening Ceremonies.... Nadia Comaneci, Scott Hamilton, Kristy Yamaguchi, Maria and Tim Shriver, Darius Rucker, Kenny G, Carly Patterson are just a few.......
